For hand-washable silk, use cool water and a small amount of detergent specifically suitable for silk. Wash colours separately and handle without rubbing or scrubbing.
Gently move the piece through clean, cool water until detergent is removed. Avoid twisting, stretching or wringing delicate fabric.
Gently press out water with a clean towel. Reshape and air-dry away from direct sunlight and heat, following the product label.

Avoid bleach. Check detergent suitability for silk, including delicate trims and elastic.
If the care label allows it, follow its cycle and temperature instructions and use a mesh bag where recommended.
Avoid tumble drying unless your label explicitly allows it. Never wring or rub silk to remove water.

Avoid rubbing at marks. Check care instructions before treating stains; seek professional advice for stubborn stains or uncertain finishes.
